The less interaction we have with creatures, the less we can hope to understand them--I mean, we do a bad enough job with fellow humans. And I have interactions with cats and dogs, but only that one interaction, ever, with a cowbird. So I think I'll be stuck forever wondering. Not a biggie--I'll take it as license to imagine unrestrainedly.
